For a while I have been contemplating what my first post should be about. Sitting in my bed at night I would think about it, working on my laptop at my desk I would think about it, and then it dawned on me. Why not write about where I spend some of my happiest moments? The place where I retreat to feel calm, inspired, and (to be honest) where I spend a majority of my time. My bedroom.
In fact, it is my recently redecorated bedroom. In middle school I was allowed to choose what color I wanted to paint my room and I decided, in all my preteen subtlety, to go for HOT PINK. How great is this pig portrait? I found him at Les Puces in Paris (their biggest flea market). His name is Hamilton!
This dresser used to be cream with wood handles. These knobs are mixed and matched from Anthropologie and it's been painted this beautiful gray. It sits in the closet space (I use a walk-in in another room) and has one of my favorite parts of the room above it- my gallery wall!
Detail of the gallery wall feat. an embroidery hoop done by yours truly and some fab artwork.
This painting is from a collection my grandfather did this past year. How perfectly does it fit with the room?
Bought this vase on my recent trip to Japan. So adorable. It was love at first sight!
Simply fantastic. You have a simple beauty about you. Creative does not even start to describe your talent. Keep this going. You are really onto something. Can I hire you ?
